Amped Wireless Debuts ProSeries Gigabit Network Switch Line

These switches provide a reliable way to quickly and easily expand wired connections for any network.
Features of the new Amped Wireless network switches include: ultra-fast gigabit connection speeds, rugged metal enclosures, plug and play installation, and Amped Green. Amped Green is an advanced power saving feature that allows for less power consumption during periods of low activity. The unique metal enclosure protects the switches from harm if dropped and allow for high performance in extreme conditions.
The ProSeries 8-Port Gigabit Switch adds an additional eight wired devices to any network at gigabit speeds. The G8SW is built to be an efficient workhorse for any network. Boasting a compact design, the G8SW can be kept on a desktop or hidden out of the way.
An expanded version of the G8SW, the ProSeries 16-Port Gigabit Switch, or G16SW, has 16 ports. It comes with a rack mount kit for secure installation into any standard 19-inch switch rack, but is also compact for discreet desktop installation. The G16SW is optimized for business use with its own internal power supply and ports that can handle 1000Mbps.

Additionally, four ports on the GP48SW function as Power over Ethernet (PoE). With PoE it is possible to transfer power and data at gigabit speeds with a single cable. This capability makes the GP48SW optimal for use with IP cameras, telephones, access points and other PoE capable devices. The GP48SW supports full and half duplex and MDI/MDI-X auto crossover.
