CLEVELAND (PRWEB) May 30, 2019
AmpliFund, the leading enterprise grant management platform designed for federal, state and local governments to manage every phase of the grant management process, announced today the appointment of Scott Smith as Chief Executive Officer. Smith has also been named a member of the company’s board of directors alongside previous AmpliFund CEO, Adam Roth, who will serve as the Founder and President.
“The Board is thrilled to appoint Scott as the new CEO of AmpliFund,” said Todd Federman, Board Chair. “Scott will take on the role of scaling AmpliFund, which is now positioned as the market leader in grants management software. With the market demand increasing and significant opportunities for growth in the federal, state and local government areas, Scott will be tasked with driving the strategy to accelerate the pace of growth for AmpliFund.”
“Smith’s leadership will continue to elevate AmpliFund and help us build on our recent client wins, including the State of Illinois and the unprecedented speed of implementation in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico,” said Roth. “We are confident in his ability to drive strategic value to AmpliFund for years to come.”
In his previous role, Smith was General Manager at The Gordian Group, an operating company of Fortive Corporation. During his six and a half years at the company, Smith was responsible for an unprecedented growth, delivering integrated data, SaaS and professional services solutions to public sector, higher education and healthcare clients.
Smith was brought in by a private equity firm following its investment to build and lead the high-growth sales and marketing function at the Gordian Group, and through his performance was moved into the General Manager role. With a metrics-driven mentality in sales, marketing and operations, Smith improved business intelligence and spearheaded operating and investment decisions, including M&A activity.
Before The Gordian Group, Smith served in leadership roles with software businesses focusing on the public sector after serving as a decorated tactical aircraft pilot in the United States Navy.
“I am really excited to join the AmpliFund team,” said Smith. “The company’s significant success over the last year and a half positions it to continue its triple digit year-over-year ARR growth well into the future. I am thrilled to be joining a high-growth team at this pivotal time in its history.”
