dualX has designed such a great implant that I feel it really is a step above, eliminating the pitfalls of other expandable implants.
LAGUNA HILLS, Calif. (PRWEB) October 08, 2019
Amplify™ Surgical, Inc., is pleased to announce that only months since the initial alpha launch the dualX™ Expanding Interbody Fusion System has been implanted in 100 surgical levels. The milestone two level case was performed by Dr. Yong Kim at NYU Langone Health in New York, NY.
After the case Dr. Kim stated, “dualX is the pinnacle of the expandable cage market. The capabilities of dualX expanding implants in both width and height are revolutionary by achieving maximum footprint and height expansion. The instrumentation allows for less passes by the nerve roots, controlled expansion of the implant, and ease of bone graft delivery. Tremendous design and delivery.”
Notable levels 98 and 99 were performed by Dr. Ali Najafi neurosurgeon out of Fresno, CA and Dr. Nima Salari orthopedic spine surgeon of Desert Institute for Spine Care in Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Salari stated, “I continue to be impressed with the dualX titanium implant and instruments and the ability to deliver such a wide footprint from a posterior approach. It has become my chosen product in my practice.”
Dr. Najafi added, “expanding in both directions is a very pivotal feature this market has been searching for, and dualX has designed such a great implant that I feel it really is a step above, eliminating the pitfalls of other expandable implants.”
Amplify Surgical Inc. CEO Andy Choi commented, “I am very happy with the exceptional progress and market acceptance of the dualX implant. Coming off of an extremely busy NASS, this is a tremendous milestone for our team. It is going to be an exciting end of the year for Amplify Surgical.”
The dualX technology is comprised of a family of titanium expandable interbody devices designed to expand in both width and height, implanted in lateral lumbar interbody fusion (LLIF), posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF) and transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) spinal procedures. The dualX portfolio contains varying footprints, heights and degrees of lordosis with post-expansion bone grafting to provide a customized anatomical fit for a clinically successful fusion environment.
