The doctoral degree, which was conferred May 9 at the university's Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, is the capstone to three years' work involving academic rigor, executive mentorship, and extensive primary research. Dr. Santomauro completed her studies while continuing to oversee day-to-day operations of the global organization. The commencement ceremony was an emotional and gratifying moment for Dr. Santomauro and her family, who were also in attendance.

Dr. Santomauro also successfully defended her dissertation earlier this Spring in partial fulfillment of the requirements of the doctoral program.
