Anderson Announces Fall 2015 Introductions
Fountain Inn, S.C. (PRWEB) September 14, 2015 -- Anderson Hardwood, owned by Shaw Industries, Inc., has announced the introduction of five new styles for Fall 2015, including a new product from the company’s Virginia Vintage collection.
A ½” x 5” red oak collection, Muir’s Park features soft greys and whites that are perfect for modern decors, while the look of naturally painted wood may also suit traditional interiors. Each board is sanded, painted white, and then re-sanded by hand to allow the beauty and natural characteristics of the wood to appear through the paint along edges and other areas of the surface.
Palo Duro is a 3/8” x 5” ply-core, hand-scraped hickory product featuring a pillowed edge. Individually scraped by hand, each board’s unique character is revealed as well as the distinct skill of the artisan. The rustic texture imparts warmth and informality, showcasing the natural variation found in hickory. The color palette includes warm, traditional tones as well as trendy neutral greys. Palo Duro is also offered in a mixed width of 3”, 5”, and 6 3/8” for even greater variation.
Also a 3/8” x 5” ply-core hickory style, Bentley Plank features the same versatile palette and pillowed edge feature as Palo Duro. Ideal for those who favor a more subtle texture, Bentley Plank is wire-brushed, a technique that emphasizes the grain patterns that naturally occur in the wood. The elegant texture complements a variety of interior design schemes, from classic to contemporary.
From Anderson’s Virginia Vintage products comes Coastal Art, a ½” x 5” ply-core red oak collection inspired by the refreshing environments of the coastal regions. The style’s subtle texture is created by painting the un-sanded boards; the boards are then sanded by hand to reveal their natural character, along with straight and cross-grain formations, inherent to each plank. The boards are then sanded and finished in soft tones for a tranquil, understated visual.
“We’re excited about these new engineered hardwood styles,” says Anderson’s Marketing Director Katie Ford. “We are offering our customers some dramatic new styles and textures during what we expect to be an active fall selling season.”
