ROCKVILLE, Md., Oct. 20, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Andrew Keck, a global development executive with more than 30 years of experience, has joined Abt Associates as regional vice president for West Africa, Middle East, and North Africa (WAMENA). He provides strategic leadership for Abt's regional work with clients such as the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. Keck focuses on portfolio strategy and project performance, and he sets the operating plan for the WAMENA region.
Before joining Abt, Keck served as Tetra Tech's director, water and sanitation sector, overseeing business growth, project quality, and thought leadership in the sector. He oversaw a diverse team working in more than 20 countries that managed a $270 million portfolio. He previously held a series of technical and leadership roles over 16 years at International Resources Group (IRG), including as global director overseeing programs in agriculture, climate, environment and water, and as Chief of Party for projects in Senegal and Madagascar. In addition, Keck worked for the World Bank for 11 years, including as coordinator to the multi-donor secretariat for Madagascar's second environment program.
He holds an M.A. in Environmental Management from Duke University and a B.A. in Economics and French from Allegheny College.
