CrossCountry Consulting, a leading business advisory firm, today announced that Andrew Hovance has joined their Accounting Advisory practice in the New York office, effective immediately. Utilizing his years of public accounting experience providing advisory services to companies facing disruptions to their business driven by transformational events, and regulatory and accounting standard change, Mr. Hovance will be responsible for client delivery, strategy, and practice and business development.

For more than 13 years, Mr. Hovance has led teams on multi-faceted engagements to support clients through the preparation of SEC filings by assisting in the development of historical carveout financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures, and solving technical accounting issues. With his extensive experience, CrossCountry will be well positioned to deepen their assistance to NY-based companies through mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, as well as preparing for public offerings. The firm regularly assists CFOs, controllers, and their organizations to anticipate and respond to accounting and transaction-related demands, financial reporting, and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of operational accounting, including monthly close, budgeting and financial analysis.

Most recently, Mr. Hovance spent nine years with Ernst & Young’s Americas Financial Accounting Advisory Services practice supporting Fortune 500 companies across a variety of industries on complex transaction accounting and SEC reporting challenges related to divestitures, spin-offs, and carve-outs. He spent the first four years of his career in Ernst & Young’s Financial Services Audit practice specializing in providing assurance services to banking and capital markets clients.
