AngelHack Gears Up to Launch New Startups through 2015 HACKcelerator Batch
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) July 30, 2015 -- AngelHack, the world’s largest and most diverse hacker community, is gearing up to kick off their 2015 HACKcelerator worldwide, on August 3rd, 2015.
The 2015 HACKcelerator includes 31 teams from cities all around the world who won the grand prize at their cities’ event during AngelHack’s eighth and largest Global Hackathon Series earlier this year. These cities include Hong Kong, Bogota, Bangalore, Mexico City, Montreal, Bangkok, Austin, Tokyo and many more; some of which are from previously underestimated and hard to infiltrate tech communities, especially within the Asia Region.
The HACKcelerator, a 12-week pre-accelerator program, will provide this year’s hackathon winners with a local coworking space, top tier mentors in their area, and the opportunity to learn from the industry’s biggest players during weekly speaker series sessions. The teams will also be provided with hands-on pitch mentorship, all to help push their original projects into full-fledged startups.

- Sam O’Keefe, Startup Battlefield Editor at TechCrunch
- Vincent Dignan, Founder of Magnific
The program will mark its finale in October, with AngelHack’s annual Global Demo Day. All HACKcelerator participants will be flown out to San Francisco to attend a week of intense pitch training, ending with the opportunity to showcase their projects to a sea of investors, and wow them into gaining seed-funding. In previous years, two HACKcelerator graduates, SlickLogin and Appetas, were acquired by Google and another, Airpost.io, was aquired by DropBox. Others have been accepted into programs such as Y-Combinator, TechStars and 500 Startups, while, another team, Osper, was able to raise over $10 million in funds.
