ROCKVILLE, Md. (PRWEB) March 24, 2020
Anik Singal, founder and CEO of Lurn, Inc, pledged $30,000 to set up a COVID-19 relief fund for entrepreneurs (and would-be entrepreneurs) who have lost their income due to the pandemic.
After closing out the initial funding, Singal opened a second round of funding for donations from the public. The second round currently has over $20,000 of funding, and he hopes to open up more funds moving forward to help meet the needs of the entrepreneurial community that he knows and loves.
“Emails with positive thoughts and well wishes are great, but we want to take real action and put money directly into the pockets of the people who need it the most,” says Singal. “I’ve gotten to where I am today with the support of some great people, and now I’m here to support the community and give back.”
All donations go through the Singal Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, which means that all donations are 100% tax deductible. There are no restrictions on what people can do with the money - whether they need it for groceries, medications or supplies for their children, it’s there to support them.
If you’re in a position to help and contribute to those in need, or if you know someone who would like to contribute, you can donate at https://singal.org/lurnrelieffund/. If you’re someone who’s income has taken a direct hit due to the pandemic, you can apply for the grant at http://fund.lurn.com/.
