Ankeny, Iowa Grand Opening of New WineStyles Tasting Station
Ankeny, Iowa (PRWEB) September 12, 2017 -- WineStyles Tasting Station®, a hybrid retail / wine bar concept dedicated to simplifying the wine and craft beer shopping experience, announces the Grand Opening celebration its newest location, at The District at Prairie Trail shopping center in Ankeny, Iowa.
To celebrate with the local community, the store will give away a pair of wine glasses to the first 100 customers who join the Wine Club*. The official Grand Opening week-long celebration kicks off on Monday, September 25th and the official ribbon cutting ceremony is Thursday, September 28th at 4:30pm, with Chamber of Commerce. Other activities include 10% off all wine and accessories on Monday; 4 for $40 on selected wines on Tuesday; Wines of Chile tasting event on Wednesday at 5:30pm; 10% off wine and Happy Hour specials on Thursday; Mistress Brewing Tap Take over on Friday at 5:30pm-8:30pm. During the “Grand Tasting” extravaganza event on Saturday, September 30th at 5:00pm – 8:00pm, guests will enjoy a complimentary tasting of over 20 different wines!

Mindi and Paul Dayton are the new owners and operators of the Ankeny location, who both reside in the Ankeny area. “We love the new District area and look forward to meeting everyone in the community,” said Mindi Dayton. "We can’t wait to share the WineStyles experience with Ankeny.” Mindi Dayton is a life-long Iowan and most recently a practicing podiatric physician in Des Moines and teaching at Des Moines University. Her entrepreneurial spirit and love of wine and food drove her to take the leap into the world of business ownership at WineStyles. “We want our guests to come in, try something new, and find something they love every time they come in the door.”
WineStyles Tasting Station has also partnered with Purple Heart Wines, donating $1.00 for every glass of wine poured or bottle purchased, to the Purple Heart Foundation. “For over 50 years, the Purple Heart Foundation has been serving our military veterans and families,” said Mindi Dayton. "We are honored to give back to such a worthy cause, and will continue our donation drive September through November 11th, culminating with a special tasting event on Veteran’s Day.”
The WineStyles Tasting Station in Ankeny will offer a unique retail experience and warm ambiance that is reminiscent of an old-world wine cellar. Wines are categorized by style and taste, rather than by varietal or region, which helps to simplify the shopping experience. The selection includes a rotation of unique labels and hard-to-find wines from both small and large vineyards from around the world. Each bottle is accompanied by a description listing the wine’s characteristics, flavors and suggested food pairings.
Additionally, the WineStyles Tasting Station features a full wine bar with dozens of wines by the glass and a selection of food, craft beers on tap, hand-made fine chocolates and artisan cheeses. Furthermore, the store offers a variety of gifts and wine accessories including customizable gift baskets, monthly wine, beer, and cheese clubs, and a frequent buyer program. The location also features weekly wine and beer tastings, private event opportunities, as well as education classes.
