CHICAGO, June 27, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Tickets for the Midnight Circus in the Parks "One City, One World" 2019 tour will go on sale July 1st through http://www.MidnightCircus.net. Last year, the Chicago-based Midnight Circus reached nearly 20,000 people in every corner of the city and this year the Little Big Top expects to play to even more during its 9-week run. Due to popular demand, founders Jeff and Julie Jenkins have expanded this season's tour, adding new parks and more Friday night performances along the way. In celebration of the award-winning show's 13th anniversary, this season's all-new production features crowd-pleasers from previous tours along with some spectacular new acts that have never been seen in effort to 'create community and rebuild parks, one circus at a time'.
"At a time when our city, our country, and our world could use more goodwill, we are expanding our efforts, our reach and our circus to more communities across Chicago," says Jeff.
This year, arguably the most talented Midnight Circus cast to date has been assembled, consisting of two dozen world class acrobats from all over Chicago and the globe. The 2019 tour is the circus' most diverse and wide-ranging ensemble of acrobats to date, with representation from all over the United States, France, England, Africa, Mexico, and Chicago. Each 2-hour show combines amazing aerial acrobatics, tumbling, juggling, feats of dexterity and much more presented in a unique heartfelt storytelling style under the Little Big Top where there is no such thing as a bad seat. In addition to the Jenkins Family (Jeff, Julie, Maxwell and Samantha) and Rosie Rae Jenkins, the high-flying rescued Pit Bull who performs K-9 acrobatics and comedy, this year's show also features the return of the one and only musical maestro of Midnight Circus, My Boy Elroy – an audience favorite who serves as DJ, beatboxer, and musician responsible for creating the circus' sensational soundscape. The Midnight Circus is the only American circus to play the world-renown Montreal Circus Festival – a testament to the incredible quality of the show and the effect it has on audiences.
To date, Midnight Circus in the Parks has raised over $1 million for park improvements throughout Chicago. As parents, artists, community activists and life-long Chicagoans, Jeff and Julie believe that public parks "are part of the foundation upon which a great city is built" and as such, have put together a tantalizing group of performers from all over the world in effort to reach more communities all around the city. The Company can't however pull their successful shows off without spending years building relationships, winning community support and delivering over-the-top programming. As part of the Chicago Park District's Night Out in the Parks initiative, this year's Midnight Circus is returning to some longstanding favorite parks along with some debut engagements, including Foster Park on the south side and Jefferson Park on the north side.
