CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 2, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cusick Community Management delivered a series of workshops in Q1 2023, implementing new processes and procedures company-wide to equip their Association Directors with the tools and resources to provide optimal management of the 200+ homeowner associations they serve in North and South Carolina. These standards provide continuity of essential services and training for all Directors. A company-wide meeting is planned for the end of April to strengthen the Cusick team and share plans to meet the company's growth potential.
Cusick Community Management promoted Saundra Roland to Procedural Compliance Director. Saundra has been with Cusick since 2017. At the direction of Vice President Janette Parker, Ms. Roland has coordinated this series of Director Training Workshops detailing new technology and services.
"These workshops are the latest additions to the ongoing training programs that enable Cusick Association Directors to deliver industry-leading service to the communities we manage." - Janette Parker, Vice President, Cusick Community Management.
WORKSHOP 1: Dynamic Enhancements to Start the Year Off Right
- Seasonal maintenance calendars and action items are now standardized and shared in community management software, CINC. Task lists are made transparent for the HOA Boards to see what actions are being taken in their communities at all times.
- Board packets, containing extensive information, are now compiled and shared with HOA Boards of Directors for their upcoming meetings so they know what to plan for and have their action items in place.
- Website updates and enhancements are now implemented for each association, providing homeowners easy access to the latest community information, and the ability to pay assessments online.
WORKSHOP 2: Insurance Updates and a New Community Inspections Program
- An insurance agency updated the Cusick team on what is currently needed to fully protect HOAs
- Cusick Association Directors now have transparent, centralized information on current insurance coverage for each association they manage, including the carrier, coverage, policy and expiration dates.
- Cusick Inspection Teams are now being implemented. They drive the neighborhoods and do inspections to make sure that everything is in compliance with the governing documents. The goal is to have these teams for every association that Cusick Community Management serves.
WORKSHOP 3: Legal and Seasonal Updates
- On Law Day, two attorneys (from North and South Carolina) shared current and upcoming legal issues that may impact community management to protect the 200+ HOAs managed by Cusick, their Boards of Directors and Cusick Community Management, itself.
- Pool openings require a lot of coordination and communication. Association Directors were trained on an extensive, new checklist of items to do onsite and internally. A pool tab was added to the software for easy access to all of the information on pool openings.
- Community notices are now standardized for the spring and fall. These proactive maintenance reminders spell out everything that needs to be taken care of, benefitting homeowners and maintaining community property values. They are posted on the website, and sent via mail and/or Eblast.
"At the direction of VP Janette Parker, we are training our Directors to be experts. Building trust and value within the company and establishing excellent working relationships with Board members and homeowners, is what Cusick does best," added Saundra Roland.
