Announcing Ainsley the Yellow Lab: Critter in Chief for The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain
TUCSON, Ariz. (PRWEB) October 24, 2019 -- The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain is pleased to announce the arrival of Ranger Ainsley, a people-loving Labrador retriever who has become its official Guest Ambassador. A member of the resort’s Ritz Kids Rangers team, the two-year-old pup is now officially on the job, welcoming guest arrivals and accepting hugs from visitors of all ages.
Ainsley was adopted from Canine Companions for Independence®, a non-profit which grants highly trained assistance dogs to military veterans and children and adults with disabilities. The organization provides two full years of training for each service canine, with just a small percentage of these trainees actually making the cut and receiving assignment to an individual in need. The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain has partnered with CCI as a community service partner and, related to this support program, was able to adopt Ainsley -- who has joined a team of desert critters calling the resort home.
Goofy, engaging, kind-hearted, sweet and playful, Ranger Ainsley has undergone mandatory Ritz-Carlton orientation and, like all members of the team, has learned where he can and can’t go (kitchens, dining areas and swimming pools are off-limits). He has also been allowed to experience a variety of resort specialty offerings from In-Room Dining to a popular In-Room Camping tent experience created just for kids.
Available for guest photo ops and serving as an official Lobby Greeter and taste tester for the pet-friendly resort’s specially curated canine menu, Ainsley also will participate in Ritz Kids reading sessions presented in the Ranger Station Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Activities in this educational and entertaining station allow guests to interact personally with the resort’s fascinating abundance of animal life. From a beloved desert tortoise to gentle reptiles and fuzzy furry crawlers, critters at the Forbes Five Star Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain are nurtured in their own special habitat and are introduced to resort guests during daily Meet Our Desert Friends gatherings.
Ainsley will be a key member of the resort team’s Community Footprints program as well. The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain Community Footprints initiative provides support to area non-profit organizations with a focus on assisting at-risk children and families and those in need of food, shelter and basic human care.
Ainsley will also provide gifts to dogs staying at the resort, including canine amenities, pet-logoed gift items and snacks -- and he will actively participate in the property’s welcome activities, guest engagement programs and holiday events. A special highlight for Ainsley this year will be the resort’s December 8 holiday tree-lighting festivities, to be followed by a season of events for which the pup will serve as a huggable holiday ambassador.
Ainsley is also the perfect antidote for young travelers in need of a special friend -- and for guests of all ages missing their pets at home. Kids can even participate in Recruit a Ranger craft sessions, creating and then taking home their very own stuffed animal inspired by Ranger Ainsley himself.
