Annual NY Drinks NY Grand Tasting Returns to NYC, Celebrating New York State Wines at the Rainbow Room, March 26

NEW YORK, March 07, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The New York Wine & Grape Foundation is pleased to announce that the 8th Annual NY Drinks NY Grand Tasting will take place on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at midtown Manhattan's iconic Rainbow Room located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza on the 65th floor. 47 wineries from the state's wine regions including the Finger Lakes, Hudson Valley, Long Island, and the Niagara Escarpment will participate and pour at this specially curated New York-centric event.

NY Drinks NY celebrates New York wine during a series of educational events throughout the year, culminating with an annual Grand Tasting event in March. More than 200 wines from New York state wineries will be showcased at an array of tasting stations located throughout the landmark venue. To date, participating wineries include: Bedell Cellars, Hermann J. Wiemer, Fjord Vineyards, Arrowhead Spring Vineyards, and many more.

A Consumer Session open to the general public runs from 6pm to 8pm. An Industry Session, exclusively for members of the media, restaurants, and the wine trade takes place from 12pm to 4pm. (Note: All trade and media ticket requests will be subject to verification.) Educational seminars, "meet & greets" with the winemakers, and more will also be featured throughout the course of the event. In addition to wine, there will be a spread of New York cheeses.
