(PRWEB UK) 22 September 2015 -- Loft Leg Ltd. have introduced a third innovative product to complement their already successful Loft Leg and Loft Ledge storage products.
The new Loft Light, which goes on sale this week in Wickes allows homeowners to instantly illuminate their loft space without the need for electrical wiring.
The Loft Light is a high luminosity, battery powered, pull string LED bulb specifically designed to illuminate a loft. “The Loft Light is a low cost, easy to fit solution for illuminating the loft space instantly.” explains Gareth Storey, director of Loft Leg.
Before the Loft Light there were two alternatives for lighting a loft. (1) Contracting an electrician to install a mains electric bulb and switch, which can be expensive and difficult to do if insulation has already been installed or (2) use an extension cable and a lamp each time the loft is accessed, which can be dangerous and inconvenient especially if the loft is accessed frequently.
The Loft Light uses state of the art LED technology along with advanced optics to ensure the battery life is maximized (up to 4 years) and the light is spread evenly around the loft. “Most LED products are very directional, so we did a lot of work on the lens design to overcome this” explains Matthew Driver, director of Loft Leg. “The result is a unique, ultra-bright pull string light, equivalent to a 32 Watt bulb that can be installed in seconds.”
The product includes screws, a removable back plate to help with battery changes, a reflective strip to increase visibility, and a 2m pull string for easy operation.
With the Loft Leg and Loft Ledge products maintaining insulation efficiencies in the loft and making the space more usable the Loft Light is an obvious complementary product.
The Loft Light can be installed by screwing it to any of the wooden elements in the loft and requires 3 x D cell batteries. The RRP for the Loft Light is £14.99.
The Loft Light is available now in store and on-line from Wickes, and independent hardware retailers. More information is available at http://www.loftlight.com
