New release autobiography, “The Elusive Butterfly of Happiness” (published by Balboa Press AU), tells an inspiring story of survival against all odds as one woman reveals how she overcame seemingly overwhelming challenges to find her purpose.

This book details the life of Anthea DeVito in Australia and her fascinating childhood in Malaysia. Here, the author recounts her search for happiness and meaning in life as well as the tragedies and traumas she faced along the way. Through exercise, music, movies, humor and determination, she was able to rise above the difficult times. There is a lot of historical context from the last 70 years woven into the narrative, which makes the book very interesting.

“Everyone is searching for happiness,” DeVito states. “(This book) is about the life of an everyday person going through a lot of struggles that many people go through.”

When asked what she wants readers to take away from her story, the author responds, “The importance of gratitude and acceptance in finding happiness and the importance of humour and exercise to finding good mental health.”
