Appoints Todd Mahler to New Position

With his extensive background in K-12 product management and product development, Todd Mahler is the ideal person to lead our ongoing efforts to provide schools with the most effective digital curriculum to help struggling students achieve success.

Apex Learning, a recognized leader in online learning for secondary education, announced that K-12 education technology veteran Todd Mahler has joined the company in a new role as Chief Product Officer. Mahler will be responsible for driving the company’s product strategy and development.

With a rich background in education, Mahler brings a wealth of experience to his new role at Apex Learning. Previously, Mahler was with Six Red Marbles where he spent nearly 15 years leading the development of education technology projects. He took a short break to serve as Chief Technical and Production Officer for Southern New Hampshire University where he was involved in the technical infrastructure of SNHU Online, including course development, Blackboard integration and student/faculty support systems.

Following that, he joined digital curriculum company Redbird Advanced Learning, where he served as the company’s SVP, Product and Technology, spearheading the development of Redbird’s adaptive math product. Since Redbird’s acquisition by McGraw-Hill Education, Mahler served as VP, School Platform Development, leading the overall strategy, development and rollout of MHE’s first new customer facing platform in 10 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics from Villanova University and a Masters in Educational Technology from Harvard University.
