HOBOKEN, N.J., Aug. 28, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Apple Montessori Schools, with 15 schools in New Jersey, raised $15,300 for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of the New York Tri-State Area through its annual, school-wide Spring Olympic Day fundraiser. Since 2011, the Apple Montessori Schools community has worked together to raise a total of $192,196.12 for RMHC.
Apple Montessori's Spring Olympic Day fundraiser for RMHC is not only a fun day of relay races and obstacle courses, it also teaches students valuable lessons about compassion and generosity, and how to turn that compassion into action.
"One of our core values is 'caring,' and our students learn every day what it means to be compassionate, kind, and giving individuals," said Richard Page, CEO of Apple Montessori Schools. "Our curriculum and educators help children recognize that they have the power to make the world a better place. We are proud to support the mission of RMHC to help families during the most difficult times."
Apple is honored to aid the mission of RMHC in providing homes away from home for the families of seriously ill, hospitalized children. Donations are used to support RMHC's grants to five Ronald McDonald Houses in the New York metropolitan area. Families at each of Apple Montessori's schools in Cliffside Park, Edgewater, Edison, Hoboken, Kinnelon, Mahwah, Metuchen, Morris Plains, Oakland, Randolph, Towaco, and Wayne contributed to this important cause.
Mr. Page presented the check to Janice Mulligan, Programs Manager of RMHC of the Tri-State Area and Matthew Campo, President of Ronald McDonald House Long Island on Thursday, August 22 at Apple Montessori Schools Hoboken Maxwell location.
