Appleton Coated Expands Utopia Two Offering for Direct Mail
Combined Locks, WI (PRWEB) October 29, 2013 -- Appleton Coated has added Utopia Two Points Gloss to its line of Utopia® coated papers.
Manufactured at the Combined Locks, Wisconsin mill, this new addition further emphasizes Appleton Coated’s commitment to the direct mail category and its dedication to sustainable paper options.
“This move demonstrates our ongoing efforts to expand our product lines and support the direct mail segment of the paper and graphic arts industry,” says Ferkó Goldinger, Appleton Coated’s marketing manager. The Appleton Coated Utopia Two grade line is the broadest offer in the Utopia brand family. It includes rolls and sheets in basis weights from 50 lb text to 120 lb cover, with HP Indigo certified digital products as well as quick-turn custom and supersize sheet programs.
He continues, “Our Utopia customers requested these direct mail additions to the Utopia Two line and we were happy to respond. This is one more step in making it easy to choose environmentally-responsible coated papers for direct mail applications.”
Utopia Two Points Gloss is offered in 72 lb / 7 point cover and 87 lb / 9 point cover. Both products are manufactured to caliper and guaranteed to meet postal requirements.
Utopia Two Points Gloss comes standard with 10 percent post-consumer recovered fiber (PCRF). It is also available as FSC® certified (FSC® C007796), SFI® certified and with Green-e®-certified Green Power. For all grades that carry the Green Power designation, 100% of the electricity used to manufacture these products is matched with renewable energy credits (RECs) from Green-e certified energy sources, primarily wind.
The first North American coated paper mill to be FSC certified, Appleton Coated has a strong environmental management system in place as evidenced by its ISO 14001 certification.
