The H M Hubbard International Law Scholarship awards tuition fees plus reasonable living costs and travel expenses to students who wish to study law in Canada, France or Spain. The scholarship is open to all undergraduates and graduates seeking a career in the legal sector, as well as trainee and qualified solicitors.
Applications for the 2025/26 academic year are now open.

The most renowned recipient of the scholarship is Walter Merricks CBE, Chair of IMPRESS, the Independent Monitor for the Press, and the law reform charity JUSTICE. Merricks credits his legal career to the scholarship stating,
