CenterPoint Foundation is giving away more than 8,000 free trees to elementary school children throughout 6 different states
LINCOLN, Neb., April 21, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day, CenterPoint Foundation is giving out free trees through the Energy-Saving Trees program to elementary school students within their service areas throughout Minnesota, Indiana, Ohio, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
Arbor Day Foundation's Energy-Saving Trees program helps utility providers distribute free trees to their customers, while providing the knowledge of where best to plant them. This program gives companies and organizations the opportunity to get involved in the betterment of the community through trees.

The CenterPoint Energy Foundation encourages the students to reserve the trees with their parents at: http://www.arborday.org/CenterPointYouth. The "Energy-Saving Trees" online tool shares the annual energy savings that will result from planting trees in the most strategic location near customers' homes or businesses. Students can reserve up to 1 tree and plant them in the most strategic area as identified by the online mapping tool. The program will continue until all 8,400 trees are reserved. Trees will be delivered directly to the students' homes at an ideal time for planting.
