LOS ANGELES, Aug. 2, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Ballerina Kirsten Bloom Allen has danced for audiences across the globe. The latest endeavor from her company, ARC Entertainment Company, expands her audience in an unlikely direction -- rock fans. ARC's Bands and Ballet pairs dancers with rock acts to visually enhance the concert experience. So far, ARC dancers have performed in the opening set for bands like The Wallflowers and Jefferson Starship. A newly released music video shows how powerful of a pairing rock music and ballet really are.
Allen started ARC Entertainment Company in 2018 as a way to bring Bands and Ballet to a wider audience. Her experience as a leading ballerina who danced a private performance for the late president George H.W. and Barbara Bush, with companies at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, and at notable venues in China helped her to realize the importance of adding art to everyday experiences.
This July, ARC Entertainment Company released a new music video to celebrate Bands and Ballet and to demonstrate the power of what they do. Set to Disturbed's cover of "Sound of Silence," the video features a performance by Allen and fellow dancer Magnus Christoffersen. Tigran Sargysan choreographed the routine.
The depth and passion of David Draiman's vocals mixed with the sensuality of dance resonate powerfully together to create a thrilling visual experience. "Art, whether it is music or dance, connects us through our humanity," says Allen. "This world could certainly stand to have more art in it!"
You can also look forward to a new music video set to Disturbed's song "A Reason to Fight." The song's message is about suicide prevention, while the dance performance truly captures its essence.
