Arkansas State University Purchases Hellas Construction's epiQ Tracks Z5000 Running Track
AUSTIN, TX (PRWEB) June 14, 2016 -- The nationally recognized Red Wolves track and field program holds athletes to the highest standards, and to perform the best, you have to have the best.
Head track and field coach Jim Patchall has been on multiple running track systems throughout his coaching career, but turned to Hellas’ expertise and quality running track installation when the Red Wolves were ready for a running track surface upgrade. The existing Mondo Super X surface at the Arkansas State University Track and Field/Cross Country Complex will be removed, and an epiQ Tracks Z5000 system will be installed over the 400 meter, 8-lane oval running track.
“We are thrilled to be resurfacing our track here at Arkansas State and have enjoyed working with Hellas from the planning stages until the beginning of construction last week. They have been complete professionals every step of the way and provide a quality product that we are looking forward to our student athletes training and competing on,” said Patchall.
Hellas epiQ Tracks® systems are the fastest, smartest, and strongest running tracks on the market. With exclusive formulas, quality raw materials and an eco-friendly manufacturing process, the Olympic-Quality Z5000 IAAF certified track is the best option for high-level collegiate athletes.
The facility, which was constructed in 2003, is the host for Arkansas State’s annual meet in the A-State Red Wolves open, and various other community and university events. With the capacity to hold more than 400 spectators, plus additional portable seating areas, viewers will witness Red Wolves track and field athletes compete on a high-quality custom surface.
Multiple other NCAA Division I universities are turning to Hellas for running track surfaces and sports construction, including, but not limited to Prairie View A&M University, Florida A&M University, Alabama A&M University, and Eastern Illinois University. The epiQ Tracks athletic surface system is unparalleled – offering high energy return for each runner’s stride, reduced roll time upon impact, and high support, increasing comfort levels and decreasing injuries to track and field athletes.
