ARMA International Names Veteran IT Executive as CEO
Overland Park, KS (PRWEB) June 08, 2015 -- ARMA International today announced that it has hired Robert Baird as its chief executive officer. He will assume this role June 15.

Baird most recently served as the chief information officer of United Educators, a member-owned insurance company that provides liability coverage and risk management services to more than 1,200 U.S. non-profit colleges, universities, and independent and public K-12 schools. Promoted to CIO specifically to manage a $4 million software project, Baird had authority over a 31-person staff, a $2.3 million budget and enterprise-wide IT operations. He joined United Educators in 2004 as director/assistant vice president of risk management and later served as assistant vice president of IT.
Baird also had a 20-year career with the U.S. Navy, where his extensive record of service included a role as a comptroller for the submarine force in the Navy’s Pacific Fleet and as the CFO for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program, the largest acquisition program in the history of the Department of Defense.
Baird holds a master’s degree in business administration from George Washington University and a master’s of science degree from The Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy. He also has earned a graduate certificate in knowledge management from George Washington University, an executive MBA certificate from the University of Virginia and certification as a Project Management Professional and as an Associate Business Continuity Planner.
