Army Residence Community Selects Steven Fuller as CEO
SAN ANTONIO (PRWEB) March 24, 2018 -- The Army Residence Community (ARC), a San Antonio nonprofit Continuing Care/Life Plan Community, announced today that Steven E. Fuller has been selected to lead the military retirement community as Chief Executive Officer. He will assume his position at the ARC on May 15, 2018 as only the fourth leader in the 31-year history of the organization.

The Army Residence Community began a search for a CEO in September 2017 with the assistance of Witt/Kieffer, an Illinois-based Executive Search Firm specializing in Continuing Care Retirement Community leadership. Over 600 resumes were reviewed for the position before Fuller was selected as the top candidate.

Fuller has been a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator since 1996 and has over 20 years of long-term care experience, serving the last 17 years as Chief Executive Officer for a similar nonprofit community, the Village at Incarnate Word in San Antonio. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Master of Science in Studies in Aging from the University of North Texas. He is a current member, and former board member of LeadingAge Texas, a nonprofit trade association representing the full continuum of mission-driven, not-for-profit aging services providers in Texas – an organization that provides leadership, advocacy, and education for nonprofit retirement housing and nursing home communities that serve the needs of aging Texans.
The Army Residence Community is a nonprofit, accredited Continuing Care/Life Plan Community for retired U.S. military officers, their spouses, widows and widowers. Throughout its history, the ARC has continually evolved and grown to meet the needs of, and improve the quality of life for residents through expansion, modernization, and the construction of new amenities. The ARC is located on 150 acres in Northeast San Antonio – near Joint Base San Antonio and San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC). The community currently serves 750 residents in Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care. The ARC employs approximately 400 employees.
