With the holiday season around the corner, ARTA, the contemporary logistics platform for shipping specialized items, is announcing the launch of the ARTA API, which will allow businesses to harness the power of ARTA’s eCommerce tools that streamline complex logistics and bridge fragmented supply chains. The API was designed to solve common challenges for sellers of precious objects: improving the customer experience by providing greater transparency into shipping and service costs, driving growth by unlocking international and domestic supply chain options, and increasing operational efficiency by automating key fulfillment processes and providing greater visibility into and control over supply chains.

With ARTA's API, customers gain unparalleled access to paramount features that make it more seamless to send non-conveyable goods (i.e. fine art, furniture, oversized or fragile objects, jewelry, and more), including ARTA’s Instant Quote and Packing Predictor. With the API launch, ARTA will also be expanding their logistics services, adding ARTA Select and ARTA Parcel options to their existing premium solutions. ARTA guarantees the rates produced by the API when fulfilled through ARTA.

ARTA has already signed on a number of customers for the API, including International auction house Phillips, that uniquely specializes in 20th century and contemporary art, design, watches, and jewelry.

In addition to the launch of its API, ARTA is unveiling it has added Darren Dodson as its new Head of Operations and Logistics. Prior to ARTA, Dodson spent the past 16 years at DB Schenker developing their Land network supporting Import and Export products. Most recently as the Director of US Ground Distribution, he launched new Domestic Land services including FTL, LTL, and White Glove for DB Schenker USA.
