Arthritis Foundation to Host “Navigating Rheumatoid Arthritis” Webinar
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 25, 2013 -- The Arthritis Foundation is proud to announce their latest educational webinar, Navigating RA for the Newly Diagnosed on November 22nd at 12:30 PM EST. The webinar will be presented by Elliot Rosenstein, MD, the Director of the Institute for Rheumatic & Autoimmune Disease at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey and Eileen Lydon, NP, ANP-C, from the New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City.
Navigating RA for the Newly Diagnosed will discuss the importance of early, aggressive treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in order to improve prognoses/limit joint destruction. Recent studies show that most of the joint damage occurs in the first few years of the disease. Healthcare providers now aim to treat RA early and aggressively, with the goal of putting it into remission. This tactic is important to try to minimize joint destruction.
The Arthritis Foundation offers many educational webinars, programs, and events throughout the year to improve the lives of arthritis patients. More information can be found on the Arthritis Foundation’s websites.
