Artist Christofer Aven Explores Whether Her "Phaintings" Could Become The New Rorschach Test
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) November 13, 2014 -- Artist Christofer Aven takes viewers on an interpretive journey with her collection of unique and colorful creations. Her artistic phases have culminated in her newest body of work, “Phaintings.”
“Phaintings” is a collection of spiritually inspired images created with unusual colors and textures that highlights Aven’s blend of painting and photography. Intended for fellow artists and art enthusiasts, Aven’s original work is designed to enlighten and inspire creativity and original thought among viewers.
“I discovered my artistic and creative talents as a young adult,” Aven said. “I love creating art, so over the years I've explored many different art mediums. This collection is the perfect way for me to share my artistic vision with other art enthusiasts.”
Because Aven’s work is abstract and open to interpretation, her book deliberately contains no writing or explanation of the pieces. Aven has found it best to let people view the images and interpret the various works for themselves.
“I'm often surprised by what viewers see in the image that I didn't consciously put in it,” Aven said. “The images are like Rorschach inkblots. Everyone sees them through their own consciousness, which is exactly the way I want it to be.”
