Donation Supports FYR Summit To Bring Local Club Leaders Together
DENVER, June 16, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Studies have shown that youth fitness programs, especially in underserved communities, can help improve health and well-being. For the second year in a row, Ascent Protein has donated $5,000 to Denver-based Forging Youth Resilience (FYR) to support their efforts to empower young people in building physical and mental strength for life. The grant monies will support the FYR Summit.
This important educational program brings FYR leaders together for learning and sharing. It provides a platform for local clubs to participate in training, share best practices and create new resources to support their work in fostering resilience and mental health among young people. Through more than 20 local clubs nationwide, FYR athletes challenge themselves to be stronger, healthier and more ambitious both in and out of the gym.

About Forging Youth Resilience (FYR)
Founded in 2007, Forging Youth Resilience (FYR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that empowers young people to build physical and mental strength for life by providing access to a network of community-based fitness programs, nutrition education and mentorship. FYR serves youth coming from under-resourced families or communities, who might also be out of school, in foster care, or involved in the justice system. FYR offers weekly classes at over 20 Local Clubs across the nation, with a reach of over 500 athletes every year.
