An evolution of Google Feed, Google Discover is designed to serve the most relevant content possible to Google's users. Part of the Google app, Discover takes the form of a scrollable list of cards, each with a header that explains what specific user interest it's related to. It displays a wide range of content, including news pieces, articles, and videos.
Google began testing Discover ads only a few short months after the service launched, working with a small, select group of advertisers. The official launch of Discover ads allows advertisers to create highly-visual advertisements to display not just on Discover, but also on YouTube and Gmail.
Known as Discovery Campaigns, these native ads can be targeted at any of the 800 million people who reportedly use Discover.
