Ashworth College 2019 Scholarship Applications Now Available to Online Degree, Career, and High School Students
The Gary Keisling ACCESS Scholarship Program awards tuition assistance to eligible students of the online college and its subsidiary online high school.
NORCROSS, Ga., Jan. 8, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Gary Keisling ACCESS Scholarship Program applications for 2019 are now available to eligible Ashworth College and James Madison High School students. Scholarships will be awarded in three categories: degree programs, career programs, and high school.
Eligibility is based on a combination of factors including date of enrollment, academic performance, and an essay. Applications must be received via electronic submission by March 1, 2019. Recipients will be announced April 2, 2019, and prizes will be awarded April 16, 2019. Degree program awards will cover one semester of tuition. Career program awards will cover full tuition. The high school award will cover full tuition for one year (the equivalent of two semesters of study) and is renewable annually based on academic success.

"It always bothered me that I couldn't check the box with college degree listed as my highest level of education. The scholarship has made getting a degree even more feasible. I'll be so excited when I can check that box!"
"ACCESS Scholarships have been awarded to 85 students since the program began in 2011," said Ashworth College President Rob Klapper. "We're encouraged by the number of students who are seeking to begin or complete their educations with us, and it's a pleasure to provide financial awards to deserving students each year."
The ACCESS Scholarship for degree programs is open to first-time, current, and transfer students seeking associate or bachelor's degrees. To be eligible, new student applicants must have a 3.0 GPA (or better) on their high school transcripts. Current and transfer student applicants must have a 3.0 GPA (or better) on their college transcripts. The ACCESS Scholarship for career programs is open to first-time students of Ashworth College diploma and certificate programs. There is no requirement for the applicant's incoming GPA, but scholarship recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA in their program in order to retain their awards. The ACCESS Scholarship for High School is open to freshman applicants who completed the 8th grade with a 3.0 GPA (or better) and transfer applicants with a 3.0 GPA (or better) on their incoming transcripts.
