NORCROSS, Ga., Nov. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- After evaluation by the American Veterinary Medical Association Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (AVMA CVTEA), Ashworth College proudly announces the AVMA CVTEA accreditation of its Associate of Applied Science Veterinary Technician online degree program.

The Ashworth College program, which launched in 2016, now joins a list of only 12 distance education vet tech programs to be accredited by the AVMA CVTEA.
To earn accreditation, the Ashworth College Veterinary Technician program team hosted site visits by the CVTEA in February and August. During the visits, the committee interviewed current vet tech program students, toured administrative facilities, evaluated student resources, reviewed program curricula, and spoke with faculty members about program standards and expectations for ongoing evaluations.
