MATERIALS PARK, Ohio (PRWEB) September 18, 2020
ASM International publishes ASM Handbook, Volume 24: Additive Manufacturing Processes in print and in ASM Handbooks Online™ in the ASM Digital Library.
ASM Handbook, Volume 24: Additive Manufacturing Processes was developed to address the current and rapidly expanding importance of additive manufacturing (AM). Volume editors for this handbook are David L. Bourell, William Frazier, Howard Kuhn, and Mohsen Seifi. This Volume provides the latest knowledge in materials, processes, and applications of AM, written by the leading experts in research and industry.
The handbook begins with an introduction and history of AM, authored by some of the key participants in that history as they trace the evolution of AM. It is comprised of five divisions including polymer, ceramic, and metal AM processes divisions, and covers direct write processes, which take advantage of AM processes to combine materials and devices for multifunctional engineering applications.
ASM Handbook, Volume 24: Additive Manufacturing Processes ($345.00, $259.00 ASM Members, hardcover ISBN: 978-162708-288-4) is available at asminternational.org/hbvol24 or by calling the ASM International Member Service Center at 800.336.5152. About the ASM Digital Library
ASM International serves the materials research, reference, and education needs of engineers and scientists over the course of their careers through its comprehensive and authoritative information resources. The ASM Digital Library provides convenient access to the world’s largest collection of information and data on the composition, structure, properties, processing, performance, and evaluation of engineering materials.
ASM Handbooks Online™ was the first resource presented in the ASM Digital Library platform. The ASM Failure Analysis Database™ was added in 2019 and to date in 2020, 39 titles have been added to ASM Technical Books™, and over 6000 data sheets have been added to Alloy Digest™. Over time the other materials information resources published by ASM International will be integrated into the platform. In the meantime, convenient links to these resources are provided on the ASM Digital Library homepage and on the persistent site footer.
Experts on materials engineering topics are encouraged to volunteer to update or contribute new content to the ASM Digital Library. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer. Other comments and questions can be sent to the same email address.
