ASM International Releases Major Upgrade to the ASM Alloy Center Digital Database Suite
MATERIALS PARK, Ohio (PRWEB) October 11, 2018 -- On October 9, 2018, ASM International released a major upgrade and record import to the Alloy Center Digital Database Suite. The Alloy Center Digital Database Suite consists of five digital databases: Alloy Finder, Coating Data, Corrosion Performance Data, Materials Property Data, and Data Sheets and Diagrams. These databases have long been a trusted source for ferrous and nonferrous alloy data by providing peer-reviewed and experience qualified materials information.
ASM International is currently executing upgrades to all nine of their digital databases, which include the Alloy Center Database Suite. The upgrades began with the release of GRANTA MI Version 11.2 and the implementation of the GRANTA MI:Explore app on all digital databases. These products help streamline the user experience and provide new consumption capabilities. Other updates to Alloy Center include an improved interface and advanced search functionality for users to better access updated, peer-reviewed, and useful information on a wide range of cutting-edge materials science information.
Accompanying the new software platform update, ASM International has also released and added over 14,500 new records to all nine digital databases. The new records for the Alloy Center Digital Database Suite address all five databases and update both ferrous and nonferrous alloy families including:
- New UNS, ASTM, ASME, BIS, BSI, and JIS standards updates as the basis for new materials in Alloy Finder
- Over 160 new materials datasheets added to Data Sheets and Diagrams Database
- Corrosion Performance Data Database contains new alloys, environments and corrosion performance related to different
- materials and environments combinations
- New coatings, their applications, and specific processing were added to the Coatings Data Database.
