MILWAUKEE, May 13, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- ASQ has named eight members as Fellows for their achievements and contributions to the advancement of quality.
ASQ has nearly 650 active Fellows who represent diverse industries on a global scale. Fellow membership status is awarded to individuals who are ASQ members in good standing and meet the following criteria:
- Have at least 15 years of quality-related experience.
- Achieve requirements across six professional categories.
- Are sponsored by peers and endorsed by their ASQ section or division.
- Have been an ASQ Senior member for five years or longer.

Due to the cancellation of ASQ's 2020 annual conference, the new Fellows will be recognized in a ceremony prior to ASQ's World Conference on Quality and Improvement held May 20201 in Anaheim, Calif.
The 2020 ASQ Fellows, in alphabetical order, are:
Lawrence Bartkus, Retired, Edwards Lifesciences, Irvine, CA – "For outstanding contributions in advancing quality through original theory and techniques in experimental design, analysis, robust parameter design, process optimization, and quality assessment; for collaborations that bridge industry and academy; for advancing statistical thinking in companies through an internal statistics curriculum; for service to the profession, promoting use of quality engineering principles for strategic advantage in industry; and for significant contribution at both section and division levels and continued dedication to ASQ and quality profession."
