Association Technology Leader Rob Miller Joins Gravitate Solutions as SVP of Revenue
As SVP, Rob will utilize his deep association industry expertise and leadership experience to help guide corporate strategic direction, product direction, and oversee customer relations, sales and marketing.
ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 28, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Gravitate leadership team is thrilled to announce that association technology leader Rob Miller is joining Gravitate Solutions.
Rob Miller, MPA CAE, will join as Senior Vice President of Revenue effective March 1st. As SVP, Rob will utilize his deep association industry expertise and leadership experience to help guide corporate strategic direction, product direction, and oversee customer relations, sales and marketing.
Rob was President and Co-Founder of Avectra (Abila) when Tim Ward was CTO there and the two worked spectacularly well together. What this means for the association industry is that the team that created the modern association management system (AMS) with the launch of netFORUM has reunited to take on what many consider to be the greatest challenge and greatest opportunity in association technology today – data analytics.
As Rob phrased it: "Nobody has had a greater impact on association technology than Tim Ward. Tim architected netFORUM, the first 100% web-based enterprise AMS, creating the roadmap that every AMS vendor has followed in the years since. Five years ago, Tim did it again when he realized that there was a better way to provide association analytics and launched the Nucleus data analytics platform. As a customer of Nucleus at 340B Health, I saw firsthand how Nucleus was able to help associations unlock data trends and knowledge that we simply did not have access to before. I can't overstate how excited I am to join the Gravitate team and tell the Nucleus story."
Rob joins Gravitate from 340B Health, an association of over 1400 hospitals, where he served as the Senior Vice President of Business Development, Strategic Planning and Operations. Prior to 340B Health, he was the founder and executive of 5 software and consulting firms that provided solutions to associations, and he worked for the National Association of Broadcasters and the White House Office of Management of Budget.
Gravitate CEO Tim Ward says, "Coming to us directly from a senior leadership position at an association, Rob understands both the business needs of associations and how to help them reap the benefits of new technologies. He has an unmatched understanding of association technologies and is also a person of impeccable credibility – exactly the combination of understanding, expertise, and character who will fit in well with Gravitate's culture of authenticity - we couldn't be happier to welcome him to the Gravitate team.
