The Association of Children's Museums (ACM) and Imagination Playground, LLC, have partnered to offer discounts on Imagination Playground’s innovative play systems to more than 300 ACM member museums around the world.
Imagination Playground’s iconic blue play systems are a familiar sight in many children’s museums, appreciated by staff and children alike for their thoughtful design that encourages creative problem solving. A 2012 study found that playing with blocks, like Imagination Playground’s, can help foster young children’s engineering and motor skills.
“All children’s museums share a core value that play is learning, and is critical to the healthy development of children,” said Laura Huerta Migus, executive director of ACM. “Children’s museums—and children—around the world love Imagination Playground products. We’re excited to partner with a company that shares our field’s values and creative spirit.”
Through this partnership with Imagination Playground, ACM members will receive a 10 percent discount on all Imagination Playground products. ACM members will also receive a free custom Block Booster Pack with each purchase, as well as a free Block Wash kit for orders over $2,500.
“Imagination Playground is pleased to launch an official partnership with the members of the Association of Children’s Museums,” said Jim Stallman, CEO of Imagination Playground. “The offer represents more than a discount on the Blue Blocks. It is meant to demonstrate that Imagination Playground recognizes how hard museums everywhere have to work to raise the money they need for their programs. We are committed to a long-term partnership with the goal to help each ACM member organization achieve their mission to inspire learning through play.”
