Astrapi Corporation Pitches Spiral Modulation at Encountering Innovation 2020
Astrapi was accepted to a private pitch meeting and then to present at the Virtual Showcase
DALLAS, Sept. 28, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Astrapi Corporation presented Spiral Modulation to a team of defense innovation scouts in a private 1:1 session on September 15. Encountering Innovation is a program of the Kansas Small Business Development Center. It provides innovators the opportunity to present and showcase their innovation to tech scouts and the public. In addition to many opportunities to connect with technology scouts, innovators and the public, Astrapi participated in several educational workshops throughout the week and attended the Encountering Innovation Week Poster Board Parade of Technologies.
Tech Scouts from the Department of Defense, Service Labs, academia, and various government agencies listened to pitches, examined poster board displays, discussed government needs, and engaged with innovators during lunches and evening networking events.

Spiral Modulation is a dual-use technology that addresses commercial satellite, backhaul, terrestrial wireless, and Internet-of-Things communication networks that are capacity and signal power constrained and susceptible to increasing interference with an added requirement to operate in harsh, contested environments. A derivative technology, Symbol Waveform Hopping, provides a unique Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) capability at the physical layer. Astrapi is supported by over $2.8 million in private investment, as well as significant funding from National Science Foundation Phase I and II SBIRs, an AFWERX Phase I SBIR, and Innovation Solutions Canada.
