SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 1, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Les Schiefelbein, CEO and founder of Schiefelbein Global Dispute Resolution, was named the 2021 Alumni Service Award recipient by the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.
Les was recognized for his vision and contributions to ASU Law including establishing the Schiefelbein Global Dispute Resolution Program in 2018 within the school's Lodestar Dispute Resolution Center. The program hosts an annual global dispute resolution conference and provides scholarships for ASU Law students to gain knowledge, experience and the necessary professional contacts to prepare them for careers in the global dispute resolution community.
The Schiefelbein Global Dispute Resolution Conference brings together top lawyers, counsel for global corporations, internationally recognized arbitrators and mediators, as well as leaders at arbitration institutions to engage in discussions on timely issues in international dispute resolution. The 2022 conference will feature former FBI Director James Comey as the keynote speaker
Les was presented the 2021 Alumni Service Award at ASU Law's annual Gold n' Gavel event and celebrated in a tribute video with remarks from his family, ASU faculty and alumni, and other fellow renowned leaders in the international law and arbitration and dispute resolution fields.

Les Schiefelbein is a leading independent commercial arbitrator and mediator in domestic and international disputes. He founded Schiefelbein Global Dispute Resolution to bring his more than 30 years of industry and government experience, as vice president and deputy general counsel at Lockheed Martin and as an Air Force Judge Advocate Reserve (Colonel), in resolving international and domestic legal and business matters to the practice of dispute resolution.
Les also serves as CEO and vice-chairman of the executive committee of the Silicon Valley Arbitration & Mediation Center, a non-profit which serves the global technology sector by promoting business practical resolution of disputes. He has been named to the "Tech List" list of the world's leading technology arbitrators and mediators from 2015 to 2021.
