ATLANTA, Feb. 11, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Ten Story Relapse is an alternative pop-rock band from Atlanta, GA. The founding members, musicians John Douglas and Mark Milam, started the band in 2003 after becoming re-acquainted long after their college days where they both played in separate bands. Ten Story Relapse is comprised of the talented trio Mark Milam, John Douglas and Scott Patton. The band has performed with national touring acts, including Big Head Todd, Soul Asylum, the Lemonheads, Dexter Freebish and Shawn Mullins.
This new upbeat tune has been long-awaited by the band's long-time fans. "It had been a while since we had sat around and recorded something new. We were all working on a number of multiple projects after "Boxes" was released. Scott Patton was busy as the ongoing musical director and lead guitarist for Jennifer Nettles and Sugarland. Meanwhile, Mark and I were immersed with Josh Golden working on another "The Mighty High Heels" project. A casual get together last summer grew into a yearning to do more," says lead singer John Douglas. As far as the story behind the track goes, "Attraction Reaction" was created as a very straight-ahead and energetic tune from initial "The Mighty High Heels" structural and lyrical ideas. John shared that the song development occurred after the three of them rediscovered it and began envisioning the tune as more straight ahead and guitar-driven. The new vibe helped drive the energy and the lyrical content. "It is a song that touches on anxiety, release, denial and frustration. The song recognizes, in a tongue and cheek manner, that regardless of our diversions and impulses, we are all just atoms, matter. We're just chaotically bouncing around and reacting off one another," explains John Douglas.
In all, Ten Story Relapse has released a total of six albums. The first one, "TUG" was recorded in a garage when Mark and John began Ten Story Relapse as an acoustic duo. John and Mark then teamed up with Scott for their subsequent albums titled Frequency, The Obvious Blindside, Antidisestablishmentarianism, Buddha and the .38 and the most recent release, Boxes. The band currently does not have any live shows scheduled for the immediate future. Links to their latest video for the single "Attraction Reaction" and other tracks can be found on
