Today, Atlas has over 170 employees, and this has proven to be a remarkable year of growth, prompting the addition of 52 new team members.
The company was recently voted #12 out of 49 for the Best Places to work in South Carolina by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce. The company contributes thousands of volunteer hours annually. So ingrained is its generosity that during the 2008 economic downturn, company president Brian Miller recognized the impact of his company’s giving and continued supporting local charities at or above the same levels prior.
“We wouldn’t be the company we are today without giving back to the community,” says Miller, who served in the U.S. Navy. “I strongly feel that it is our social responsibility to help organizations flourish by donating our time or financial support.”
Organizations Atlas supports include One80 Place the Special Olympics and March of Dimes in Charleston, S.C. Along with the racing ducks for CHIP and Raise Against Hunger in Chesapeake, VA and the San Diego Blood Bank.
Since 2000, Atlas has contributed over $700,000 to charitable organizations. The anniversary celebration will be held on August 23th at the Marriott hotel in North Charleston. “We just want to celebrate our success, employees and clients,” said Miller.
