Spouses and children receive the L-2 visa. The spouse can also apply for a work permit. This work visa is also convertible into a permanent green card through the multinational manager category.

The newly acquired company becomes the foreign company's subsidiary and the newly purchased company's financial and worker history can be used for a green card case for the foreign company's manager/owner right away. Stated clearly, the newly acquired U.S. subsidiary can apply directly and immediately for a green card for the foreign executive or manager."
