If you really feel the need to check your phone, safely pull over and turn your engine off before doing so. This can really be a matter of life or death.”
No. 2: Always obey the speed limit. A high number of fatal teen accidents every year can be attributed to speeding. Driving within the speed limit can better ensure the safety of the driver, whether they are a teen or not.
No. 3: Refrain from drinking and driving. “Summer is naturally a time for parties and socializing, especially for teens, but there is never a time, or excuse, for driving while intoxicated,” said Dow. “The easiest way to prevent others from drunk driving is to simply take their keys or have a designated sober driver.”
