Heritage Enterprises, Inc. et al., Livingston County Circuit Court Case No. 14 L 16 (IWA, INHCA and common law retaliation case): After approximately two hours of deliberation following seven days of trial, the jury found the Defendants liable as to all retaliation counts on behalf of an RN who reported resident abuse/neglect and was fired because of it, and awarded plaintiff $57,891 lost wages, $20,000 lost benefits, $200,000 emotional distress and loss of normal life, and $5 million in punitive damages.
