McKeesport, PA (PRWEB) November 18, 2016 -- Event: Auberle will hold the public portion of its Annual Meeting on Monday, November 21. Board Member Bishop David A. Zubik along with Board Directors, clients, key stakeholders, and community supporters will attend to receive updates on Auberle’s newest initiatives and recent program successes. Thus far, we have welcomed over 700 youth to Auberle’s 412 Youth Zone, launched Youthbuild, a national construction certification training and GED program, partnered with the Allegheny County Department of Human Services on a new Teen Foster Care campaign, and served over 300 youth in our Employment Institute.
Auberle will also recognize our community partner, Dr. Elizabeth Miller and her team from the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. Dr. Miller and her team have been at the forefront of the 412 Youth Zone’s medical program, staffing a free health clinic at the Youth Zone and providing needed medical services and screenings to Auberle youth. Additionally, Dr. Miller and her team played an instrumental role in researching and developing Auberle’s Coaching Boys into Men Curriculum, which teaches young men about relationship violence. Dr. Miller, along with some of her staff will be in attendance to accept the award.
