Australia Salt Lake Potash Announces JORC Inferred Resource Estimate for Sulphate of Potash at Lake Wells Project, Western Australia
Sydney (PRWEB) November 19, 2014 -- Australia Salt Lake Potash Pty Ltd, a private potash exploration and development company (the “Company”) announced today a maiden SOP resource estimate for it’s Lake Wells project located in Western Australia. Based on the results of a reconnaissance auger-drilling program carried out in June 2014, a JORC Inferred resource estimate of between 3.3 and 5.0 million tonnes SOP has been completed by an independent consultant engaged by the Company. The resource is relatively homogenous with dissolved potassium concentration averaging 5,220mg/L potassium (equivalent of 5.2kg potassium contained in a cubic meter of brine).
Jason Baverstock, Executive Director said, “We are very pleased to report a highly encouraging maiden resource estimate. Furthermore the elemental ratio of the brine confirms it suitability for Sulphate of Potash (SOP) recovery.”
“Field information and brine analysis results have now enabled us to define the hydro-chemistry of the lake and clearly delineate several target pay zones for advanced drilling and hydrological studies,” Jason said.

Australia Salt Lake Potash Pty Ltd controls exploration leases totaling 793 sq.km in permit areas on two major salt lakes, namely Lake Wells in Western Australia and Lake Lewis in Northern Territory.
