Some of his work was published by the Providence Journal, Rhode Island "College Anchor" newspaper and the "Valley Breeze". Dan is a member of the Nap Lajoie chapter of the Society of American Baseball Research. He has received letters from Bud Selig and Robert Manfred on his poem titled "Dear Mr. Commissioner" about Shoeless Joe Jackson.
