Author Karah M. Almond was born on a cold, winter night in Georgia. As a youngster, she did not have what most would call a normal household. She was raised in a nondenominational church where everyone loved the Lord. Sadly, she still encountered the abuse bestowed upon her mother by her father.

Eventually, she started internalizing that abuse, which caused her to make poor spiritual and physical decisions in life. It is through these poor spiritual and physical decisions that she finds redemption as she shares her testimony and discovers a new found freedom.
