KATY, Texas, Aug. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Within the pages of Kathy Coleman's new book, Mrs. Wise Owl Teaches Color ($19.99, paperback, 9781545643624; $9.99, e-book, 9781545643631), kids, parents and teachers will find bright, colorful animal illustrations to show them the three primary colors. Out of these colors, kids can mix and create other colors.
Within the story, each animal living near Mrs. Wise Owl saw the notice tacked to her tree offering a color class. The animals were eager to attend. She told them God created a colorful world for them and she wanted to teach them to notice their colorful world.
Seeing the colors vibrantly within the book, Coleman believes, is different than the computer-driven world so many of us live in today, which has an effect on colors.
"I want [kids] to realize there are three main colors and many other colors can be made by mixing these colors together. Kids like to learn and experiment so it's educational," said Coleman.
Kathy Coleman is a children's mural artist who has painted in churches, nursing homes, model homes, and a pediatric ward in Panama. She has had several private art exhibits.
