KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 8, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Hardships and difficult journeys are part of everyone's story and author W.D. Lewis is no different. In his new book "LIFE God's Gracious Gift," Lewis hopes to shed light on these struggles and encourage readers to never stray from God. After being diagnosed with cancer, the author decided to spend his time writing a book that will encourage others to grow closer to God.
"It all started a little over two years ago when I was diagnosed with cancer," said Lewis. "I decided that I wasn't going to just sit around and stare at a screen all day and began pulling my thoughts together. Writing kept my mind and body occupied during my chemotherapy sessions that I had two times per week."
In each chapter of the book, Lewis shares passages from the Bible and stories of notable figures such as Captain Eddie Rickenbacker, a fighter pilot in WWI, to demonstrate how powerful prayer can be. He also recites the story of the Christians at Philippi to emphasize how important it is to stand up for one's beliefs and God. Additionally, Lewis discusses former President Jimmy Carter when talking about the impact that Christians can make on others.
Ultimately, the author recognizes that life's twists and turns can be challenging but by having faith in God, the hardships can be easier to navigate. "LIFE God's Gracious Gift" is sure to encourage and uplift readers while also helping them grow closer in their walk with God.
